A NIGHT OUT (Simple Past Story)
Dee: What did you do last night?
Billy: Oh, I went out with Karen.
Dee: Oh, great. What did you do?
Billy: Well, we wanted to see the new Frankenstein
film but unfortunately Karen was late and the
cinema was full.
Dee: So what did you do then?
Billy: Then we went to the Paradox. They have really
good Latin jazz there on Mondays.
Dee: So did you both enjoy that?
Billy: No, we couldn't get in because it was full.
Dee: Oh, that's a pity.
Billy: Yes. But then I had a really good idea. I
remembered the City Cafe has great music so
we went there,
Dee: But it's a really long way to the City Cafe. How
did you get there?
Billy: Oh, we took a taxi.
Dee: Oh, right. Expensive.
Billy: Yes, so we had a coffee and then afterwards
Karen wanted to sit in the park so that's where
we ended up.
Dee: Umm. Well, it sounds like a really great night
out.
Billy: Yes. Right.
